When I was five years old I became enamored with Arizona basketball. At the time Lute Olson had just taken Arizona to its first Final Four. The now Legendary coach was great. The atmosphere of the McKale Center was amazing. And everything about it created anticipation and excitement. I was hooked.

Since then I’ve always followed Arizona as avidly and closely as was possible for someone moving out of the area and back into it. A few years ago I became active on the CBSsports message boards and blogs. I have used my basketball knowledge and information to develop a good reputation on the boards. I finally decided it was time that I moved on to having my own sports blog.

In creating this blog I had thought about many various avenues to pursue, but ultimately it came down to the fact that I’m too avid of a Wildcats fan to ignore it. I will hit on some other topics, of course, but mainly stick to the Wildcats. But in order to have a successful blog, I needed an angle or an avenue that would draw attention. In searching for this, I realized that there is very little media coverage that isn’t misconstrued by media bias or by personal vendettas of the Tucson and Phoenix papers.

So, my objective is simple – provide acurate information while providing the antithesis to the local columnists like Greg Hansen. Hopefully what I bring will be insightful, funny, and thought provoking.

If you have read my work on cbssports, you have probably realized by now that I firmly believe that 75% of sports happens before tipoff and after the final horn. It’s about coaching the players during practices, team chemistry off the floor/field, recruiting, administrative work, scouting, and things of that nature. These behind the scenes performances are all culminated in the product that actually performs infront of crowded gymnasiums and telivision audiences.

So, while I’ll do game previews and recaps and focus on player performances, I’ll also throw in a fair deal of coaching critiques, opinions about the future of the program, recruiting trails, and the whole bit. If you have a question, whether it be on something I’ve done or just want my opinion on something – ask me! It makes for great discussion and future entries.
